The University of California, Riverside, is recognized
as a leader in English language teaching in the US and
around the world. We offer a wide range of English
language programs to suit a variety of student needs,
at all levels, from beginners to advanced.
The University of California, Riverside, has extensive experience in developing programs for groups of students. If you are a teacher or school that would like to send your students as a group to the University of California, Riverside, our custom designed programs may best suit your needs. If you have a student group of 12 or more, age 10 and over, who only have a short time available to travel to the US and want to practice and build confidence in English, as well as see all the wonderful California sights, we welcome them to participate in a Conversation and American Culture program. Our Conversation and American culture programs combine English practice with sightseeing and cultural activities. The program length can vary to suit your group’s needs, but are normally between one and four weeks in length.
Designed for all levels of English, students
participate in conversation classes Monday through
Thursday, for a total of 16 hours per week. Social
and cultural activities introducing students to
California and America are included as part of the
weekly schedule. A full day of sightseeing is planned
on Fridays. If we have other groups on campus, you
are invited to mix with them for English practice,
sightseeing and cultural activities
